Camping
Free (wild) camping is allowed in Albania. Permission from the owner is required on private property. Especially in the coastal region on the Mediterranean there are campsites with different levels and facilities.
Photography bans and restrictions
As in many countries, taking photos of military installations, airports, train stations and government buildings is prohibited in Albania.

Travel documents
For entry from the EU you need an ID card or passport that is still valid for at least 3 months. EU citizens do not need a visa for a stay of up to 90 days.
Currency
The currency in Albania is the Albanian Lek (ALL). Banknotes of 100, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000 and 10000 ALL as well as coins are common. Both old and new banknotes are in circulation. In Albania, the currency is not abbreviated with “ALL” but with “Lek”.

Time
In Albania, the “Central European Time” (CET) applies, in summer the “Central European Summer Time” (CEST). So there is no time difference to Germany and Central Europe.
